More About Super 8 Film
1. Differences between modern DSLR video
- The main difference is the cost of developing Super 8 films. It's expensive to buy and develop the film, costing around $200 per 3-minutes of captured film - one cartridge equals roughly 3 minutes of film. On a wedding day. Noramlly around 3-5 cartridges are used across a wedding day in order to capture and tell your special story (costing appox. $600 -$1000 just for the raw footage, which has to be calculate into production costs and fees). Once the film is developed and scanned, it's then turned into a stunning digital highlights film of around 4-6 minutes long.
2. Backups
Modern cameras have dual writing of videos so they are always backed up and safe. Super 8 doesn't have a backup so in the very unlikely event of a film roll failure, 1 small part of the day could be lost. We do everything possible to make sure the gear is in perfect functional condition and swap between film rolls during the day to save different parts to different rolls. We also make sure we have a backup super 8 camera at the ready.
3. Lighting
Super 8 works fantastic in good lighting, but struggles in low light situations (especially reception) Formalities indoors after sunset need to be very well-lit, if not, it's impossible for the camera to capture good usable footage. We have big LED lights that help with special moments like the first dance and main reception formalities. Because we only shoot short clips, once we have the footage we need, we can turn the lights off so the party can properly start!

Click on the 'book now' button below and fill out the contact form, or send us a message via Facebook messenger. We will send through our pricing guide with all the details you need to decide on what would suits you the best.
2. CONTRACT & PAYMENT
Once you have confirmed your package/extras, we will send through a contract to sign and we require a 30 percent non-refundable deposit to secure your booking, with the rest due 2 weeks before your wedding day.
3. PLANNING & SESSION
We want to make sure you have all the most important moments to you in the video! We do our best to capture absolutely everything but in the planning session we can go over your day and make sure any unique moments make it into the video
4. YOUR GALLERY
Roughly 4-8 weeks after your wedding day, you will receive a link to your online gallery with all of your stunningly edited photos to share with all of your friends and family.
